A four-year standout on the Averett volleyball program from 2010-13, Allison Sparks Williams was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Third Team and AVCA All-Region First Team in 2013 as a senior. The 2013 USA South Conference Player of the Year and VaSID State Player of the Year finished her career with 1,621 kills (fifth most in program history) for 3.67 kills per set with 1,074 digs for 2.43 digs per set to go with 149 service aces and 133 total blocks. An outside hitter, Williams was a three-time USA South All-Conference First Team selection and a three-time all-state selection. In 2014, she was named the USA South's Don Scalf Award recipient and earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors in each of her four years at Averett. Williams also earned VaSID Academic All-State. The Ruffin, North Carolina, native garnered 2013 USA South All-Tournament Team honors after setting the conference's tournament record of 65 kills in the postseason after helping guide the Cougars to the 2013 USA South North Division crown.
Williams was inducted to the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 19, 2019.
