Antonio Seay was a center for the Averett University men's basketball from 1988-90. Seay graduated in 1991 and holds several program records including most points scored in a season with 634, single-season scoring average with 20.1 points per game and field goals in a season with 267, while holding the highest season field goal percentage at 67.9 percent. He finished his career with 1,106 points in only two seasons after transferring to Averett. The 1989-90 USA South Conference Player of the Year, Seay also was a two-time all-conference first team performer and a two-time Division III All-South Team selection while being named to a Basketball Times All-America selection as a senior in 1990. He helped Averett go 20-9 in his final season while winning the program's first conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16.
A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Seay was inducted into the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 3, 2015.
