Lindi Beamon was a four-year member of the Averett University softball program, earning USA South All-Conference First Team honors three times (1999, 2000 and 2001) and all-state accolades once (1999). A catcher and designated hitter from the Danville area, Beamon was named Averett's Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2002. Beamon had a stellar career while batting .342 while averaging a hit per game in 154 games played. She finished with 169 runs scored, 104 runs batted in, 34 doubles, five home runs and four triples from 1999-2002. At the time of her Hall of Fame induction, Beamon's career batting average ranked ninth all-time, her RBI total ranked fifth and her 154 career hits ranked sixth. 

Prior to her junior season, she played internationally during the summer in Holland and Belgium with USA Team 2000.

Beamon also played one season of women's basketball.

In 2014, she was selected to the USA South's 50th anniversary softball team.

Beamon was inducted into the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Sept. 29, 2018.
