Averett University’s Department of Athletics invites you to play in the annual Cougar Golf Classic. The event, scheduled for this year on Friday, June 12 (rain date is June 19), at Goodyear Golf Club in Danville, Virginia, has become a signature event for Averett Athletics and annually serves as a primary fundraiser to directly benefit the student-athlete experience.
This year's Cougar Golf Classic will feature two shotgun tee times (choose either 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.).
Registration is $500 per team and includes the following: greens fees, golf cart, lunch, refreshments, mulligans (new item included in the team package this year!) Averett gift and the opportunity to win awards and prizes, as well as the opportunity to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets.

2026 Cougar Golf Classic details:
- 4-person teams with minimum of 30 handicap
- Registration is $500 per team
- Shotgun tee times at 8 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. (your choice as available)
- Range balls and putting green available to your team 30 minutes prior to tee time
- Lunch, beverages and snacks will be provided
- Mulligans included for each team
- Limited registration for the event (so register quickly before it fills up!)
- More than $1,000 in cash prizes
- Closest to the pin contest
- Longest drive competition
- Longest putt competition
- 50/50 raffle
