Men's basketball adds Baker to coaching staff

DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University men's basketball head coach David Doino announced Tuesday the addition of former player Brandon Baker to his staff as an assistant coach.

A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Baker was a four-year member of the Averett men's basketball program and was a part of two USA South Conference regular season championships. He earned USA South All-Sportsmanship Team honors as a senior and twice received the program's service award at the annual athletics awards banquet.
In addition to his playing experience, Baker has served as a counselor for Averett's summer basketball camps.

Baker graduated from Averett with a bachelor's degree in physical education in May 2018. He is currently pursuing his master's of business administration from Averett.
