Women's lacrosse freshman Breanne Sawall was named the USA South Conference Defensive Player of the Week on March 12. A goalkeeper from Waldorf, Maryland, Sawall collected two victories in a 2-0 week for Averett. In a total of 120 minutes played, Sawall allowed 6.50 goals per game while stopping 17 shots.
