Baseball senior Timothy Coston was named the USA South Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Coston, a senior first baseman/pitcher from Nightdale, North Carolina, went a combined 10-for-16 (.625) with eight RBI, four runs scored, one double, two walks and one stolen base as Averett posted a 5-0 record last week while moving into first place in the USA South standings. In a 16-7 win over USA South foe LaGrange College on Monday, Coston was 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base. In an 11-10 victory over Tufts University, Coston did not have a plate appearance as he was on the mound and earned the victory after pitching 8.1 innings. Finally, in a three-game sweep of USA South rival Huntingdon College over the weekend, Coston was a combined 6-for-11 with four RBI, two runs scored, one double and two walks.
