Wrestling freshman Jared Lough took home third place at 165 poounds at the recent New Standard Invitational hosted by York College. Lough started Day 2 in the quarterfinal round and pinned (4:44) Alec Corrao of Ithaca College to move onto the semifinals. Unfortunately, this is where Lough would suffer his only loss of the tournament. Jackson Drum of York defeated Lough in the semifinals in a tightly contested 4-0 decision. The Stafford, Virginia, native bounced back to beat Chad Simmons of the Apprentice School by technical fall (19-1, 4:43) before upending John Garda of The College of New Jersey by decision, 7-1, to finish the invitational in third.
