Men's soccer freshman Daniel Surley, a midfielder from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, tallied two goals in Averett's first two games on his way to earning USA South Rookie of the Week recognition. Against Mary Washington, Surley scored his first collegiate goal in the 79th minute to force overtime. The following day, Surley netted the game-winning goal in double-overtime against Marymount University.
