Men's tennis sophomore Jorge Figueroa was named the USA South Conference Player of the Week on April 12. The native of Guatemala City, Guatemala, went 2-1 at No. 1 singles and and 2-1 in doubles the previous week for the Cougars. Figueroa's singles wins occurred against opposition from nationally-ranked Washington and Lee University and USA South rival Pfeiffer University. In doubles, he teamed with sophomore Evgeniy Bogdasaryan at the No. 2 position to defeat Washington and Lee and teamed with freshman Rufus Nurminen to get past Pfeiffer.
