Women's gold junior Lilli Caroline Tamburstuen was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Week on Sept. 6 after carding a top-five performance to open the season. Tamburstuen finished fifth individually as Averett University women's golf opened the fall season with a ninth-place finish at the Transylvania University Fall Invitational. Tamburstuen shot a 17-over 230 over three rounds to finish five shots off the top score. Tamburstuen shot a 6-over 77 during Sunday's final round to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
