Women's volleyball senior Erin Gray became Averett's career digs record-holder (modern 25-point scoring era), surpassing the old record of 1,771 digs during the second set, which the Cougars won in a 3-1 loss to Christopher Newport (receiving national votes). Despite a 1-3 week for the Cougars against good competition, Gray had a stellar week. In those four matches, she totaled 32 digs, 28 digs, 16 digs and 27 digs).
