Men's golf sophomore Max Pettersson, who was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 4, won the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College at The Cardinal by Pete Dye Oct. 2-3. Pettersson dominated the par-71, 6,735-yard course by shooting a 3-under 68 each day to finish with a 6-under 136. Pettersson won by five strokes as his team, the 19th-ranked Cougars, also won the tournament with a 15-over 583 by shooting 3-under as a team on the final day after entering the day in sixth place. They won by seven strokes.
