Kyle Newcomb, a senior outfielder on the baseball team, was named the USA South Conference Player of the Week. Newcomb went 8-for-14 (.571) with nine RBIs, seven runs scored, four doubles and one triple as Averett (10-4, 2-2 USA South) posted a 2-1 record last week.
