James Carter, a senior first baseman on the baseball team, was named the USA South Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Carter, a native of Chesapeake, Va., went 15-for-33 (.455) with 12 RBI, two runs scored, four doubles and three walks as the Cougars posted a 4-4 record last week.
