Lisa Mitro, a freshman on the softball team, was named the USA South Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week. She appeared in three games for the Cougars last week versus USA South competition. Mitro totaled 7.1 innings pitched and allowed one run on 10 hits with two strikeouts.
