Savanna Butts, a senior middle hitter on the volleyball team, opened the season with a strong effort in Averett's 18th annual Cougar Classic. Butts finished with 2.69 kills per set and a .477 hitting percentage as Averett went 4-0. Butts added 13 total blocks over 13 sets.
