Averett freshman softball player Jessye Crews earned the rare honor of being named both the USA South Conference Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week at the same time. The catcher/third baseman from Leasburg, N.C., went 12-for-16 (.750) with four runs scored, four RBI and one walk as Averett posted a 3-3 record last week.
