Averett sophomore men's golfer Onni Hurri's final round 4-under-par 68 on March 24 helped the Cougars win the Scarlet championship at 42nd annual Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate Men's Golf Championship at the Paradise Point Golf Club. Hurri picked up the individual win as the Scarlet championship medalist. As a team, the Cougars shot a collective 313 in the first round, a 274 in the second round and a 293 in Sunday's final round. Hurri opened with a 3-over 75, but then shot a 6-under 64 on Saturday and finished the tournament with a 4-under 68 in the final round.
