Averett University Athletics

The women's soccer star Pernilla Milton was named as Averett's 2013 Cougar Club Female Student-Athlete of the Year. Milton was named to the USA South All-Conference First Team, USA South All-Tournament Team and named the USA South Tournament MVP while leading Averett to the 2012 USA South championship and NCAA Tournament, both firsts for the program. She also earned All-Region honors from the NSCAA and All-State from VaSID. Off the field, she was a member of the Capital One Academic All-District Team.
