The Averett University volleyball team, the No. 2 seed from the North Division, will face off against Maryville College, the No. 1 seed in the South, in Saturday's USA South Conference Tournament semifinals at 12 p.m. held at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia.

The Cougars (22-14) defeated Piedmont College 3-1 in Friday's USA South quarterfinals. Maryville (24-8) defeated Greensboro College 3-0 in its quarterfinals match. Covenant College and Meredith College face off in the other semifinal Saturday at 2 p.m. The winner of each semifinal will face off in the championship match Saturday at 6 p.m.

Maryville edged Averett 3-1 when the two met during the regular season on Oct. 3 in Danville.
