The Averett University women's basketball team plays host to conference foe LaGrange College on Sunday at 1 p.m. as the first half of a doubleheader at the Grant Center. The game will be part of the second annual "Caring for Carrie" event to raise money for The V Foundation for Cancer Research.  Jamie Valvano, daughter of legendary N.C. State coach Jim Valvano, will be the guest speaker at halftime of the men's game.

Averett (9-7, 4-4 USA South) fell 74-64 to Huntingdon College on Saturday.
