STAUNTON, Va. — Averett University's volleyball team continued its perfect run in conference play with a 3-1 victory at Mary Baldwin University on Tuesday night. The Cougars won 25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 25-15.
Averett (18-7, 10-0 USA South) cruised in the first two sets. After Mary Baldwin (4-17, 1-10 USA South) edged the Cougars in the third set, Averett finished off the Fighting Squirrels in four.

Hannah Shields led Averett's attack with 20 kills and eight service aces. Sophomore

Christiana Summa had 18 digs and 16 digs, respectively, and sophomore
Keenan Marks had 37 assists. Marks and freshman
Brianna Williams each had three block assists.
Averett hosts rival William Peace University Friday at 7 p.m. to kick off Homecoming Weekend. It is the Cougars' White Out game.
