The Averett University volleyball team hosts a USA South Conference Tournament first round and quarterfinals matches on Tuesday at the Grant Center. The Cougars host a first round match between East No. 5 seed Ferrum College and East No. 4 seed Greensboro College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Averett will play the winner immediately after at 7:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals round.

Averett (24-9, 15-0 USA South) went undefeated during conference play in the regular season to win its 16th conference championship, including 3-0 wins over Greensboro 19-11, 9-6 USA South) and Ferrum (15-17, 8-7 USA South). During the regular season, Ferrum beat Greensboro 3-1 at Ferrum.
