The Averett University baseball team opens USA South Conference play Friday with the first game of a three-game series against N.C. Wesleyan College at 2:30 p.m. at Owen-Fulton Field.

Averett (2-4, 0-0 USA South) is coming off a loss to Hampden-Sydney College on Tuesday. N.C. Wesleyan (8-3, 0-0 USA South) split a doubleheader with Washington and Lee University on Thursday.
