DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University volleyball will host the opening round of the 2017 USA South Conference Tournament on Tuesday. East Division No. 4 seed Salem College and East Division No. 5 seed Methodist University face off at 5 p.m. at Averett's Grant Center. The winner will advance to play the Cougars, the No. 1 seed in the East, immediately after at 7:30 p.m.

Averett (30-3, 16-0 USA South) won its third consecutive division crown. A win in the quarterfinals would allow the Cougars to host the USA South semifinals and championship on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $6 for adult general admission and $3 for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens and children. Only cash will be accepted. The first 100 Averett students will get in free with your student ID and the first 30 faculty/staff with ID will receive free admission as well, courtesy of Averett.
