N.C. Wesleyan (7-1, 2-0 USA South), however, regained the lead in the bottom half of the frame with the help of an error that eventually allowed a run to score on a fielder's choice.
The Bishops tacked on another run in the seventh and three more insurance runs in the eighth to pull away to their second win over the Cougars in as many days.
N.C. Wesleyan's offense totaled 14 hits.
