Averett added a third score early in the second half to press the lead to 3-0 when senior

Piedmont (8-5-3, 6-3-3 USA South) finished the contest with an 18-12 shot advantage and a 7-5 shot on goal edge, however the Cougars made the most of their attempts finishing with a season-high three goals.
