The Series: Averett is 7-16 all-time against Guilford, dating back to the 1982-83 season. The Cougars won last year's meeting 82-69 on the road against the Quakers, who were ranked No. 18 at the time.
Averett at a Glance: Averett has opened the season with a pair of home losses to ODAC opponents. In their last outing against Hampden-Sydney College, the Cougars led at halftime and during the second half, but fell short 68-64 late. 
Guilford at a Glance: The Quakers went 1-1 at a tournament hosted by the University of Mary Washington over the weekend. Guilford fell 79-77 to Mary Washington, but beat N.C. Wesleyan College 81-68 on Sunday.
