Averett at a Glance: Averett men's basketball travels to open USA South Conference play on Friday when the Cougars face off with Brevard College. Averett is seeking its first win of the season after a tough non-conference slate that featured six Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponents. In their last game, the Cougars fell 72-46 at Roanoke College, which received votes in the D3hoops.com poll when they met on Saturday. Second-year freshman Isaiah Jones scored a career-high 15 points with nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals against Roanoke.
