The Averett University baseball team hosts non-conference foe No. 16 Christopher Newport University at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Owen-Fulton Field. The original game time was pushed back 30 minutes as crews worked on the field following unexpected rain overnight.

Averett (7-17) is coming off a 12-5 win at Covenant College on Friday. Christopher Newport (13-4) beat Virginia Wesleyan University 14-10 on Thursday.
