The Averett University baseball team begins its last USA South Conference series of the season. The Cougars will face Methodist University in a doubleheader at 12 p.m. Friday at Owen-Fulton Field.

Averett (10-24, 4-11 USA South) swept Eastern Mennonite University on Monday. Methodist (22-7, 11-3 USA South) lost its last game to No.8 Randolph-Macon College.
