The Series: This will be the 39th meeting between the Cougars and the Battling Bishops since 2000. Averett holds a 31-7 series advantage during that span, including nine straight wins dating back to 2013. Additionally, Averett is 9-1 when facing N.C. Wesleyan on the road, coming out victorious in each of the last four road matchups since 2014.
Averett at a Glance: The Cougars head into this matchup with a 4-6 record on the 2018 season, and are coming off a 3-0 loss at home to Meredith College in what was its first conference match of the year. In their first conference game of the season, they suffered a 3-0 loss on the road against William Peace University on Sept. 20, but came away with wins over Agnes Scott College and the Mississippi University for Women in the two games before that on Sept. 8.
