Averett at a Glance: The Cougars are itching to get back on the field after Hurricane Florence postponed their Sept. 15 game with Ferrum College and having a bye week last weekend. Averett last played on Sept. 8, falling 24-14 at Randolph-Macon College. The Cougars will look to begin conference play with a win. Averett has a formidable offensive attack with two of the conference's top five rushers and one of the top five passers and receivers. The defense has also played well this season, limiting opponents to a league-low 19.0 points per game.
Greensboro at a Glance: The Pride is looking to bounce back from a 81-0 loss at Ferrum last weekend. Greensboro held Ferrum to just seven points in the first quarter before things fell apart.
