DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's soccer team dropped a hard fought 4-0 decision to Pfeiffer University Tuesday evening in USA South Conference action.
 
Pfeiffer (10-3, 6-0 USA South) found the back of the net in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 advantage over Averett, adding a goal in the 35th minute to extend its lead to 2-0 heading into the half. 
 
The Falcons added two more goals in the second have to take a commanding 4-0 edge over Averett (0-15, 0-5 USA South).
 
The Cougars take to the road for two straight road matchups beginning with Methodist University on Saturday followed by Mary Baldwin University before host William Peace University for senior day on Oct. 26.
