Salem at a Glance: The Spirits enter the postseason on a three-match losing streak after losing their conference finale 3-1 to Meredith College and non-conference meetings with Sewanee and Emory & Henry College over the weekend. During the regular season, Salem swept its series with Greensboro, beating the Pride 3-0 and 3-1.
Greensboro at a Glance: The Pride ended the regular season losing three of its last four matches.

Averett at a Glance: Averett rallied from a tough start in non-conference play to find success within the conference schedule. The Cougars went 14-2 in conference play, losing only to William Peace University twice. The Cougars swept its series with both Salem and Greensboro. Against Salem, Averett won 3-1 at home on Oct. 1 and edged the Spirits 3-2 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Oct. 22. The Cougars beat Greensboro 3-1 on the road on Oct. 9 and swept the Pride 3-0 on Oct. 30 on Senior Night in Averett's last home event.
