The Series: Averett is 23-20 all-time against Lynchburg dating back to the 1997 season. The Hornets have won three straight over the Cougars including a season sweep last season.
Averett at a Glance: Averett is still in search of its first victory of the 2019 season after falling 12-4 to Hampden-Sydney College Monday, Feb. 18. The Cougars managed to comeback down 1-0 early to take a 3-1 lead, however H-S benefited from nine runs over the final four innings to earn the win. 
Lynchburg at a Glance: The Hornets enter Tuesday 1-1 on the season following a 2-0 opening game victory over Maryville College Feb. 16, before dropping the final game by a final of 9-1.
