The Series: This will be the first ever meeting between the Cougars and the Mountaineers.
Averett at a Glance: The Cougars have won eight of their last nine games and have won eight consecutive games against conference opponents, most importantly a 68-65 victory over West No. 4 Maryville College in the quarterfinals of the USA South Conference Tournament to advance to the semifinals. Averett won the USA South East Division for the first time in program history and enter this matchup 18-8 (13-3 USA South), which is tied for the most overall and conference wins in program history.
Berea at a Glance: The Mountaineers have enjoyed a stellar season themselves, finishing second in the USA South West Division after finishing with a 21-5 (14-2 USA South) record. Berea is on a hot streak of its own, having won 11 of its last 12 games, including a 71-52 victory over East No. 3 William Peace University in the quarterfinal round to advance.
