The Series: Averett is 5-4 all-time against Huntingdon dating back to the inaugural meeting in 2003. The Hawks took the opening two games of the series to pull within one game over the Cougars who hold the series advantage. 
Averett at a Glance: Averett would score first in both of its first two games with Huntingdon, however the Hawks would battle back late in game one to win 9-7 and again in game two to win 7-1. Sophomore Ryan Traylor hit his first career home run for the Cougars in game one, while also driving in a career-high four runs. 
Huntingdon at a Glance: The Hawks increased their record to 8-0 on the year as they managed to get the bats going late in both games against the Cougars. Huntingdon's 2,3 and 4 hitters remained red hot in the opening doubleheader as Wes Powell, Garrett Breland Tri Overby all collected two hits apiece in game two.
