The Series: Averett is 6-4 all-time against Washington and Lee dating back to the 2012 season. The Generals have won three straight over the Cougars including an opening weekend sweep last season in Lexington, Va.
Averett at a Glance: Averett opens the 2019 season with seven starters from the 2018 season returning to the lineup, including all-conference first team selection senior Kyle Vidano and fellow senior Matt Tuggle. The Cougars welcome back sophomores Kyle Lamantia and Ryan Traylor on the mound as well as a highly talented incoming freshman recruiting class.
