The Series: Methodist holds the all-time series advantage between both teams as the Monarchs have won each of the nine meetings. Averett and Methodist last met in the quarterfinals of the 2018 USA South Conference Tournament with the Monarchs coming out victorious. 
Averett at a Glance: Averett rides into Fayetteville on a four-game winning streak after the Cougars defeated William Peace University on Saturday, 27-10. The 27 goals were the most that Averett has ever scored in a match in their program's history. Sophomore Elizabeth Peasley tallied nine goals which helped her become Averett's all-time career points leader while freshman Hannah Mae Ayers broke the single game record for assists after registering eight during the match. 
Methodist at a Glance: The Monarchs won their season opener 12-11 over Bridgewater College before dropping their past four matches with the last one coming to Pfeiffer University, a 10-6 loss.
