Averett at a Glance: Averett dropped Game 1 by a final of 5-3 after leading for eight and a half innings. Senior Matt Tuggle turned in a solid pitching performance on the mount no-hitting the Pacers through five innings before allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four batters. Sophomore Ryan Traylor finished 3-5 from the plate scoring a run while also driving in a run. 
William Peace at a Glance: The Pacers overcame a three-run lead by Averett scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning before tying the game 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth and hitting a game-winning two run home run to end the eighth.
