The Series: Dating back to 2005, Averett leads the series 6-5 following the Cougars' 6-4 win in 10 innings over the Hawks to open the tournament at LaGrange on Friday. The Cougars are 6-3 against Huntingdon since the Hawks joined the USA South. The two have met twice in conference tournament play (Averett also defeated Huntingdon 7-2 in 2017 on its way to the tournament title).
Averett at a Glance: The Cougars, who are the No. 5 seed in the East Division, advanced in the loser's bracket by beating West Division No. 2 seed Piedmont College 4-1 on Saturday morning in an elimination game.
Huntingdon at a Glance: The Hawks advanced by beating Salem College 9-1 in five innings in an elimination game on Saturday morning.

The Series: Dating back to 2013, Piedmont holds a 7-6 advantage in the series. Piedmont edged Averett 5-3 in a non-conference meeting in February during the Lions' tournament. However, prior to that, Averett had won three in a row over Piedmont.
Averett at a Glance: The Cougars, who are the No. 5 seed in the East Division, edged West Division No. 3 seed Huntingdon College 6-4 in 10 innings earlier on Friday to advance in the winner's bracket. However, a tough 2-1 loss in eight innings to Maryville College later Friday dropped the Cougars into the loser's bracket.
Piedmont at a Glance: Piedmont, the West Division No. 2 seed, lost 4-1 to Salem College on Friday to open play in LaGrange.
