The Series: Saturday marks the third game in the series between Averett and Meredth. The Avenging Angels have won the prior two meetings against the Cougars in each of the past two regular seasons. 
Averett at a Glance: Averett heads into their first conference tournament championship appearance after beating Piedmont College on Friday in the semifinals, 15-12. Sophomore Elizabeth Peasley led the way with four goals while freshman Hannah Mae Ayers and junior Abby Taylor each knotted a hat-trick. The semifinal match between the Cougars and the Lions was the first time that the match was not decided by one goal. 
Meredith at a Glance: Meredith advanced to the title match after a 27-3 victory over Methodist University on Friday. Julie Capretti had seven goals while Lilia Cruz followed her with five. This victory helped Meredith move onto their sixth consecutive conference tournament championship match with the Avenging Angels being winners in each of the previous five tournaments.
