LAGRANGE, Ga. — After winning in the opening round to advance, the East No. 3-seeded Averett University men's tennis team fell to East No. 1-seeded N.C. Wesleyan College, 5-0, in the semifinals of the USA South Conference Tournament on Saturday.
Ranked No. 18 in the region, Averett (10-7, 5-4 USA South) couldn't overcome the powerhouse that is N.C. Wesleyan (20-2, 10-0 USA South), who is ranked No. 5 in the region and No. 23 in the nation. The Battling Bishops swept doubles play, with the duo of junior

This concludes what was another stellar season for Averett, as this marks the fourth consecutive season where the Cougars won at least 10 matches, had a winning record both overall and in conference play and advanced to the semifinal round of the USA South Conference Tournament.
