Averett at a Glance: The Cougars dropped their season open against Ferrum College by a final of 4-1, as senior Kirsten Clancy struck for the lone Averett goal with just under a mintue remaining in regulation. Scoring on a thirty-yard free kick into the upper left corner of the net.
Eastern Mennonite at a Glance: The Royals rolled to a 3-0 victory over Marymount University in their season opener. Liz Huffman, Hannah York and McKenzie VanHandel all combined for goals, while York also added an assist.
