DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's soccer fell 9-0 to Maryville College in non-conference action Sunday on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
 
Maryville (3-3) took the early 3-0 lead thanks to a hat trick by Shannon Reagan over the first 26 minutes of play. Lexie Hill added the Scots' fourth goal moments later in the 27th minute to help Maryville take a 4-0 lead into halftime.

Maryville added five more goals in second half to pull away against Averett (0-6) .
 
The Cougars travel to non-conference foe Washington and Lee University on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start.
