ROME, Ga. — Averett University volleyball junior McKenzie Miller was selected as the USA South Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

A setter from Danville, Virginia, Miller averaged 10.38 assists, 1.38 digs and 1.31 kills per set as the Cougars posted a 3-0 record last week versus USA South competition. In a 3-1 win at Meredith College last Wednesday, Miller posted 42 assists, five kills, four digs and one block. In a 3-1 win over Methodist University on Saturday, Miller contributed 39 assists, six digs, three kills, two blocks and one service ace. Finally, in a 3-2 victory over N.C. Wesleyan College on Saturday, Miller totaled 54 assists, nine kills, eight digs and two blocks.

Averett hosts Salem College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
