FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Averett University women's soccer team dropped its final conference match of the year on the road against Methodist University 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Duggins Soccer Stadium.

Averett (5-7-2, 3-5-1 USA South) only totaled three shots in the second half for a total of 15 in the game. The Cougars put eight of those on goal.

Methodist (12-1-0, 9-0-0 USA South) tallied 21 shots and took a 1-0 lead into the half before adding two more goals in the second half.

Averett is waiting on the rest of the USA South to conclude conference play awaiting conference tournament seeding.
