Averett held on to its 3-2 advantage until the bottom of the eighth inning before the Pacers tied the game and benefitted from a sacrifice fly out in the bottom of the ninth inning to pick up the 4-3 walk off game one win.
The Pacers kept their offense going early in game two with five runs over the opening three innings before the Cougars got on the board with a run in the top of the fourth inning when Bradshaw doubled to right center.
However, William Peace answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning to take a 6-1 advantage before the game was halted for several hours due to increment weather.

The Cougars return to action on Wednesday when they host Greensboro College at 2:30 p.m. for a non-conference showdown at Owen-Fulton Field.
